Light

Hello, I was wondering if this light I have is good for my cham. It is a 100 watt light that also emits uvb. I was told that with this bulb I wouldn't need to use 2 lights. Thank you for your input.

What species of cham do you have? This light does produce both heat and UVB, but it may be too intense and too hot for some species (montane species such as jackson's, as well as juveniles that tend to overheat and dehydrate faster than adults) unless your cage is quite tall. Make sure the cham can get away from the light if it wants to. Watch your cage humidity levels too, as more light intensity can dry the cage out faster.

My cham is a veiled. I often see him in his basking spot which is about 8 inches under where the light is and is off to the side. He has lots of shady spots. Also is it ok if I spray his cage about an hour before bed time or not?

My last mist is 2 hours before the lights out time. That allows the cage to be completely dry for the night, preventing mold formation
