Lighting Options

Hey Cham Fam,
So I've got a female panther chameleon.
I'm super excited, I got my baby a new viv (24x24x48), got the mistking to set up, I'm looking for lighting advice. Right now I've got the compact ReptiSun 5.0 and a normal household bulb. I'm needing more heat and would like to go linear for my uvb. I've done some searching and saw the Arcadia is a good option.
I wasn't sure which is the best to go for.
I found this one.

Is that too much? Will this fixture still house the 24in. ReptiSun in a bind? Can I/Do I really only need one of the Arcadia bulbs at once? Is this the right bulb?

Thanks so much for your insight guys!

I'm still new as well. Welcome. I use a T5.0 HO for my UVB, and a blue bulb for my heat and UVA. As long as you have UVB & UVA, those needs are covered. For heat, if that's all you want, you could also go ceramic. Just be sure the basking spot doesn't get too hot so your critter doesn't get burned.

I would highly recommend that fixture. I have the quad version for my enclosure, but it is very densely planted so I wanted extra light. For basking, I have two dome fixtures with household incandescent bulbs. (I offer two different basking sites with varied temps. @Venutus1 (Todd at Light Your Reptiles) is very helpful if you have any questions about the fixtures or bulbs.

Agreed! Todd rocks! We have some Hibiscus that are about a year old and are looking amazing in the chameleon cages! I see people complaining all the time that their plants die! Not ours! Check this out! And do yourself a favor and talk to Todd @Ventutus1 he will set you up with incredible lights, perfect for your needs!

Todd is a great guy and get you fix up with what is right for your encloser
Yeah I'm going to email him before I make a purchase, give him the details of my enclosure and such. I don't know why I didn't do this in the first place

Quads are dope. But if you go quad, you NEED your enclosure to be heavily planted.
