So,

I ended up having to go a different rout on my Veiled Chameleon's cage. I went to the local pet store and they had a male and female Jackson's Chameleon that they just did not know what the hell they were doing with. (Even more so then me! lol)I just couldn't leave them there. SO, now I have a male and female Jacksons as well as my Veiled.

They are each in a 16.5 deep x 28 wide x 30 tall

I am unsure on what to do with the lighting. I need good lighting for a good price giving I was not planning on bringing in the new chams yet.

WHAT TO DO!!!!!!???????

I would suggest a double bulb HO t5 fixture with an Arcadia 6% bulb and a 6.5k day-light/ plant bulb.

This will take care of the UV A&B needs...
and then get a dome over each cage with a 60 - 75 watt incandescent bulb for heat.

The wattage may depend on how cool or hot the room they are is is (in other words, the room ambient temp.) ... so keep an eye on temps while you get that nailed down.
:)

Cheers!

The lowest cost but still fantastic lighting I have found is a shop light fixture (48" ) from home depot or lowes $11.00. I use a 10.0 uv light (from LLL) about $28.00 and a plant grow light from Lowes or HD. For basking you can get a 300 watt ceramic hood at lowes or HD ( or LLL ) for $16.00 and any bulb that will give you the temps you want. I use a 60 watt halogen as they last a long time and give the flexability to adjust temps as needed. It would be close but just 1 48" light might be enough light for all 3 cages. I use 1 for 2-2x2x4 cages. Hope this helps!!

Sorry I just looked at your post again and with 28" wide it would require 2 shop lights

Thats what im rockin!

I am definitely going to look into both. I found a guy selling an Aquaticlife light. Thinking about that. Has a metal halide two t5s and a moon light.

TOO MUCH?!?!?!?!?!?!?

Not really appropriate, certian bulbs meet different needs. Wat u need is a reptile specific tube flourescent under than 10 % UVB along with other light for heat. Often a 6500k grow light is added to help the plants out.

I was thinking of changing the bulbs out like Venutus1 mentioned. Guy only wants 80 for it and it has a built in timer and everything. I was thinking of just taking the mh out for the price.

Any fixture is fine as long as it works with the bulbs, (Reptisun is a T8 fixture). Important to get new UVB bulbs as they do have a 6 month life.

most hardware stores carry fixtures for under $50 and timers are pretty cheap. $80 sounds like alot.

Good advice if you are using Exo's Or ZM!

except arcadias that last easily one year. ++++++++
;)

cheers.
