I am expecting my new male panther on Tuesday 6/24 from the Chameleon Company (thanks Jim!!). For now I am going to house him in a reptibreeze 18x18x36.I was wondering if my reptisun 5.0 compact 13 watt uvb will be enough or will I need the 26 watt?? Thanks NHCF

I have used 13 watts and have had not problems with the reptisun compact 5.0. Just remember you need to have a heat bulb.

Agree, I used that bulb, 13w + 25w heat for my cham when he was little in a exoterra (pre big-boy cage). He grew up just fine I am however switching to arcadia 6% bulbs next month. Welcome to the forum!

Don't forget they age and need to be replaced if you have used it a while

Thanks for the welcome and the answers to my question. I had ordered the 13watt from Amazon but when it arrived yesterday I was surprised to see that they sent me the 26 watt instead. Not bad for $17 !! Now I'm just waiting on my cham. Should be here today but I haven't heard from breeder since it was paid for :-\ If anyone wants to know the name of the breeder then private message me and maybe you could tell me whether or not I should be worried.
