Lights for plants

I've been looking for a definitive answer for this for a while now. For live plants what kind of light do I need to promote growth?
In the Info on this board it states that the light needs to be 6500k, but is that it? will a cfl or LED light at that color be sufficient?
I currently have two exo terra 5.0 UVB lights and an Exo Terra Sun Glo 75W Daylight bulb for basking..

Yup, all you need is the 6500k light. Idk how the cfl's as far as grow lights go but I use the linear fluorescent lights for my grow lights. Also, make sure your Plant has drainage so that it doesn't get over watered. That'll kill it even with the grow light.

Ok thanks a lot! I don't have any linear tube lights right yet, It will be something that I will be looking into getting by the time I have to replace the CFL UVB lights.. Hoping A CFL or halogen light will do the job until then.

So far the only plants I was able to come by (since there is about 3 feet of snow and the temps are -15 degree Celsius and all the nurseries are closed) is a half dozen air plants. In the spring I'm hoping to pick up a golden pothos and either an Umbrella plant or a Money tree.. The pots will have a layer of clean unfertilized soil sandwiched between two layers of stones.. Should provide adequate draining..

would one Arcadian T5 HO that be better than having two Exo Terra 5.0 CFL bulbs?

I'm guessing that this (http://www.lightyourreptiles.com/trblhot524qu.html) would be too much for a 24"X28"X48" glass enclosure.
