Hey guys,
I got Ernesto 5 days ago. He's 4 months and a male veiled. He lives indoors. I know all about having 10-12 hours of light during daytime and another period of total darkness. I usually turn on the lights at 7am and turn them on at 7pm or 9am until 8pm during the weekend. When I turn off the lights, Ernesto's usually already asleep, but not today. I did it anyway. Even though I could've had them on one more hour before the 12 hours were completed. I noticed he seemed a little bit sad by the fact that it was going dark so early for him. So my question is: when should I turn off the lights? If I can, should I wait for him to be asleep or should I establish a strict routine so that he gets used to it? I need to choose between the roles of the serious father and the spoily grandma.
Thanks!
