Liquid secreting out of bottom left eye

Hello all,

I have a year and a half old panther chameleon and yesterday morning when I woke up I found him with his eye incased in some sort of liquid or puss(pic 1/2). This had me freaking out inside I finally felt what my mother felt over all these years. I didn't know what to do. I had read about people warming up their showers and facing their shower heads toward the wall so they can have their chameleon chill in the warm spray of the water to help with shedding. I didn't want to touch his eye with anything not knowing what it was or how to handle it so I tried to lightly rinse it with the spray of the warm water. My chameleon doesn't really hiss or fuss if I ever handle him so he was fine with me trying to hold him in the shower. When he felt the spray he seemed quit calm and his eye cleared up for the day and at night it seemed fine. This morning it again he had liquid come of is eye over night and it dried. I rinsed it out again but it seems to be coming out quicker now(pic 3). I called a local vet my friend took his chameleon to and the earliest appointment is Monday at 8am.
Any sudgestions till then? Has anyone had similar issues?

Ps. Yesterday was feeding day and he ate fine, attacked and hunted food like usual. Haven't been able to observe him drink water today yet.

I would continue the warm "showers" to keep him well hydrated and try to bump up his basking temp a couple of degrees just in case he's fighting an infection.
You might want to review your supplement schedule, temperatures and humidity as they can contribute to susceptibility to infection and eye problems.
Good call on the vet appointment.
