little black flying in cage

i have a panther in a 24/24/4 cage. i 2 large hybiscs trees in it . the bottom has around 12 feet of dirt , then around 6 inches of marble rocks. im getting little small flying bugs. should i take out the marble . can i use shaffer soap to kill bugs? where are the bugs coming from ? crickets , super worms or from his no. 2:con

Welcome to the forum. I have no idea what your bugs are without a picture, but we will get there. Where are you located and is your age glass or screen? Did the dirt come from the yard or is it sterilized from a store? Do you have drainage in your cage? If you answer the questions it will be a start to figuring out what is going on.

I know exactly what they are. They are gnats. They came in with your soil. This is just the beginning, there will be more.

And just to clear it up you have 12 FEET of soil? Or 12 INCHES?

they are located in a screen encloser and they are flying black little bugs. i bought slerilized , and drain in pot.

i bought sterilized soil .if they are gnats, can i use safer soap or what?
