Is anyone elses little dripper a pain in the ass. It either drips too much or starts to drip just right and the it stops. Solutions anyone?

I just got the big dripper :) works so much better more water more pressure to push the water out! Get a big dripper Imo!

I use the Claussen's Pickle Dipper and much more control over it or the dipper series.

Pickle Container

Air Valve

Air Hose

I can fill it up and it can have it drip for 4 days straight every 15 seconds, or adjust it all the way out to 1 drip per 2.5 minutes. Its much more adjustable and the air hose allows me to put the drip where I want it and not be in the way of the lights etc...

and on top of all that it was cheaper than a lil dipper!

I just called in the local hydroponics store, got 6mm tubing and stop valves for next to nothing, costs pretty much nothing to make, works perfect and with using the piping you can get it to drip we're ever in the viv you want it to, in my opinion it's much better so it may be worth a try

nice Jon I like the square food containers myself... easy to set on corner of top of tank and not on the screen itself imo. That pix is of the dripper running for 4th day straight 24/7 drip every 15 sec. So plenty of water in that container. I am trying to monitor it for a new setup so I can put hash marks on the side to indicate how many drip days each fill line equals.

Honestly with my Chams I stopped with monitoring the dripping . As long as I drip for more than 1/2 their awake time (5-6 hours) they are happy. I just monitor their urate for signs of dehydration.

As long as you have an ideal location you are dripping on. By this I mean it's not dripping straight to the floor or on a tiny leaf that won't hold water. You want a nice broad leaf that will creat a little puddle. ( I find pothos and umbrella plants work greatt for this). Some of the artificial plants leaves are made from a cloth/fabric-like material and will absorbe water from mistings and drippings leaving nothing really for your Cham to lap up.
Exactly why I did this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_tXYvcBEtT8&feature=youtube_gdata_player

The grand sum of 45p. Little plastic green thing that
fits on to your tubing with a tap knob.

Oh I am only monitoring so I can have fill to marks on my container, make it idiot proof as possible in case I am out of town and need someone to feed for me for a day or 2. I will know that if i fill to mark C it will last them x # of days dripping and so forth.

I do not ask unreliable ppl to pet sit for me, but I do try to reduce the amount of work they may have to do as ppl can forget if its not something they do daily.
