Little Veiled refuses to eat anything that isn't a cricket

I have a feeder dish in his habitat full of mini-mealworms and I've showed them where they are at several times. Every now and then he will walk over to the dish and look at them, then just walk away. Should I bother leaving the worms in there?

He loves hunting crickets but I am worried that, when I am gone at work, if I'll be able to leave enough crickets during the day for him to eat.

What do you guys think?

Mine will eat a meal worm once in a blue moon, if its crawling up the screen. Might want to try some pheonix worms. Mine wont eat pheonix worms, but will eat the black flies they turn into.

He doesn't need to eat all day or have access to food all day as long as he's getting enough food in total. Have you tried putting the crickets in a cup and attaching it to a branch where he can get at them? That's how I feed mine. The medium size "deli" cups work well for the smaller crickets. The cup has to be deep enough for the crickets to not be able to jump out, but shallow enough for your guy to get at them. If it has really slippery sides, the crickets can't climb out. I just put the amount I am feeding for the day in the enclosure before I go to work. Just make sure your guys "gets" it before you do that. Sometimes it takes awhile for them to catch on that their food is being "served" in a cup :D

I know some people on the forum use a modified soda bottle. I'm sure if you did a search you can find instructions on how to do it.

Also, make sure you're giving him as much variety as possible in his diet. I know it's harder to do with the baby chams, but you could try the smaller phoenix/calci worms in addition to the mealworms and crickets.

Our veiled only eats crickets too and is just now 4 months old, I have tried all kinds of worms and he refuses them all!!! Thankfully he loves his crickets so I don't worry! Our bearded dragon was the same way when we first tried worms, actually ran up his tree acting afraid, but as he grew in maturity and size he LOVED all thing wiggly!!!!
