Live Plants for Veiled Chameleons Cage

I am looking at taking the rest of my "fake" plants out of my tank and want to add another live plant to the tank. Presently I have a Pothos plant and it is doing great but I would love to add one other live plant to the tank. Can anyone give me some good ideas of what other plant I could add to the tank. Right now I only have a 24wx18dx24h glass tank. Veiled is only about 6 months old and am also thinking of building a new cage for him as well. I would like to see what others recommend me to use for another live plant.

I really like the Pothos it seems to hold the water for a long time and also does quite well inside but you already have a Pothos. The Ficus and Schefflera also do great indoors. The Hibiscus is a favorite of the veileds but needs allot of light so you need to use hibiscus outside or have a couple to rotate from inside to outside for sun.

Being From Wisconsin I am not sure the Hibiscus will work for me or not.

You might not have enough sun there and it would die off in the winter. You might want to go with a Ficus or Schefflera.

I have a pothos and Schefflera. The Schefflera is my favorite and I will keep them in any viv I have. The leaves are really cool looking and also help water from drippers and misting cascade down to lower reaches of the canopy. I just have my UVB and heat bulb and it grows like crazy.

Thanks or the reply. Where did you pick up the Schefflera? Is this something you can get at one of the big box shops? Or somewhere else?

Anyone know where you can get the Schefflera plant at? Walmart, Home Depot, etc??

Schefflera is also called an umbrella plant. They are very common at most garden centers around here anyway. They have very sturdy stalks and grow fairly slowly. They are 'cham safe'. Ok. Make sure you get him out of the glass when he gets older as I'm sure you know the effects. But I have a pothos and some plastic Exo Terra plants in there. Ficus and an umbrella plant would be good choices, but they require a little more work than a pothos. If you're going all live get some tall ones in there such as the umbrella plant.

Once I find some good plans that I like for a cage I plan on building my own cage. Looking to do about 2'x2'x3'-4' tall for the next cage. Also Plan on doing all live in the cage. The Pothos I have now is growing very good. Looking for something to grow taller now and get the "Fake" plants out and possibly the fake vines as well. I will go look at some of the local big box stores for an Umbrella plant.
