Live Plants

Anyone have suggestions on keeping live plants , healthy and alive. I have Umbrella plants , I noticed few leaves which seem nice and green have dropped. I have heat lamp and UVB only , should I be using something else also to keep the plants alive besides water .
Also besides Ficus and Umbrella , what has everyone else been using that might be easier and better?

I was not a fan of the umbrella plant. I have a ficus and pothos in my cage. I find the pothos is the easiest to work with and it tends to grow out of control plus the vines on it are a cool highway for your cham to climb

I've noticed loss of leaves when the heat or UVB light is too close to the leaves. Its hard to get the proper basking spot without overwhelming the plants leaves in that area- I've often seen artificial vines in this area (I think for this reason). The plants need sunshine from a window or other light source (i.e. 75W grow lamp for around 20 bucks for bulb and reflector)- the added light will help your cham some too. Water the plants 1x per week depending on humidity (water them when soil is dry to the touch). Also I use non-conventional plants for my free-range setup- lemon and avocado potted trees- without issue (so far). Hope this helps
