I shot this this morning and have been looking at it half of the day trying to figure out what I need to do to make it better. By better, I mean if I had nailed the shot and his tongue was hopefully against the lollipop. My chameleon obviously missed too and his tongue is on the way back. I will clone out the mantis when I get the shot of him with his tongue against the candy. I am open to any kind of suggestions for improvement. I have 9 of these things I bought yesterday, so I could use a bunch of them for the shot, or it might even look better if he is standing on the branch and the only one in the picture is the one he is hitting with his tongue. Had to spray paint them with a clear matte finish and let them dry overnight, because they are so sticky. I doubt that he would enjoy climbing on a sticky one, but I sure didn't want to risk his tongue sticking to the other one. It worked great. No stickiness at all.
