LLL shipping?

I want to buy a new 24x24x48 cage, but I can't decide between LLLreptile and diycages.

How much is the shipping on the cage at LLL? The cage at diycages.com is $89, and the LLLreptile one is $79 not including shipping. Is it cheaper to buy from LLL or diycages?

Personally I would buy the LLLReptile cage. I recently bought one and its great. It's well constructed, sturdy, and the screen is nice and tight. As for the price on shipping, i'm not sure cause I ordered multiple goodies for Ziggy. One thing I remember is that LLLReptile adds a $2 over sized shipping fee.
"Due to overweight or oversize items on your order, your shipping charge will be $2 additional via Fed Ex Ground." - LLLReptile
Hope this helped.

There's only a two dollar oversized shipping fee? I was expecting it to be more than that. That means, LLL's are $92.95 and diycages are $89... I'm soo conflicted! Does anyone have both? I already have an LLL cage, and I'm getting this one for a friend, but I dont know which one is better... They're really close in price...

i bought the lll 2x2x4 cage, but the 2 dollars is added to the regular shipping charge of 8.99 if i remember correctly, i like my lll but next time i think i will try the diycages especially since their prices include shipping!

edit: i just checked my old email and the shipping is 10.95 plus the overweight charge

According to their website, the shipping is $11.95. :\ I like the LLL's and I think the black is more attractive, but diycages is cheaper...

oh wow the shipping went up a dollar in the last month or so, that sucks! i don't know if it matters but the diycages aluminum screen and frame is plastic coated

Oh really? I had no idea! Hmm... I hate decisions... When in doubt, omegle.com.

Buy the LLL cage. You are getting a much better cage. The LLL cage is made here, in the great USofA and you are supporting our country rather than China............

Lol why is the lll cage much better? Im NOT saying it isn't but just want to know what makes it better besides being made in the USA..........

and by the way i think that our government borrowing from the Chinese is supporting China way more than someone buying a cage made in China....isn't that what America is about? Capitalism based on consumer's buying the best product, not just because of where it is made but because of quality.... competition leads to better products and a stronger economy.

Sorry just my off topic two cents lol

Many people on this forum have had success with the LLL cage because its a good quality and secure cage. Its not something that will break easily. Its like they say you get what you pay for.

Pssh- both companies you can trust. They both have really good cages and its up to you to make a decision. I say go with LLLREPTILE because i have only have experience with them and will go back and by again. Hope this helps:)

i just placed an order on diy two nights ago. i'll be getting my 2x2x4 sometime this week. if you want any feed back i will definitely post as i have a LLL already and i can compare. the cage only cost 89 +tax was 99 dollar total on the paypal statement. i'll keep you posted when it comes in

Oh, well I ended up ordering the lll cage. :) I'm buying my boyfriend a chameleon and all the fixings as an early combined Christmas and birthday present, and he prefered black. I like the quality of my lll cage, and I know it'll be a secure, sturdy cage.

I now have four DIY cages, no issues so far other than the screw bag needs to be stronger  I used to build my own but time was a factor with these cages. I also have a few cages from Bob Sligh, kinda pricey for what you get but they seem to be holding up ok.

Is DIY still in business?
I tried calling them a week or two back and every number was out of service.

lol you think China makes stuff better than the US? The Chinese short change everything they build. what is purchased from china? consumables... things that don't have much purpose than to be used up and replaced.... Do you like buying screen cages over and over again?
