Locales

So I'm not claiming to be an expert or anything but I've noticed that generally different locales seem to have slight differences in temperment.... in my experience Nosy Bes tend to be a little more mellow or passivie than some other locales.. Any opinions on this?

Unless you have kept hundreds of each locale (to adulthood) it is very difficult to say with certainty which locales are more mellow.

My 2 and a half month old Ambilobe is so weird. He hand and cupfeeds, but when I stick my hand in to take him out, he crawls away. Then when he's finally out of the cage and on one of my hands, he climbs onto my other hand.

I have a BB Ambilobe and he is extremly mellow. I got lucky!!:) My female BB Ambilobe is also really tame and I wouldn't say mellow but close to it. She comes out on my hand every morning (like a bird) for her cup feed breakfast! Shes a doll.

We have lots of stray cats in my area so I am a little worried about taking him outside until I have a outdoor enclosure ready, but we do handle him everyday almost and so far hand feedig is a no go. He shows no interest in anything near my hands haha

Ahhh I see. Well, as long as you're near him at all times, I would think its safe to do so. Just a suggestion. :)

Keep trying, he may give in one day.

Buy some coyote pee online and spray it around the perimeter of your yard. That'll keep those cats away.
