[Motherlode Chameleon]

I have not gotten the opertunity to go through all of these documents as I am doing technical reading this weekend. However the estimates look low from the expert opinions I have heard and the reading I have done about the maximum age of Calumma parsonii parsonii in their native habitat and in captivity. The estimates should be over 12 years old when healthy and thriving for males.

I recently heard on a podcast up to 20yrs in captivity but 14 sounds more reasonable to me. Thanks for sharing articles like you do on here. Many interesting reads.

They seemed low to me too...but I haven't kept a lot of them and the ones I did have were always WC and arrived in pretty npbad condition as a rule. Only 2 were ever pretty good...and one of them was the one with CANV.

Parson’s can live a good long time in captivity if conditions are right. Seems like the older ones I’ve heard of have lived mainly outdoors or at least had some good exposure to the outdoors.
