Lookee what I got today!!

I totally hate you right now............. your adult mellers are gorgeous, those little ones are adorable, AND you have a whole clutch of baby melleri eggs

you need to stop being such a melleri HOG & share some with us :)
 
Where's my other box? The UPS guy tells me that the loading dock must have put the other box on another truck because it was on his manifest but not in the truck. He was trying to contact the other truck. Then I see that the box has been delivered. Well, it certainly wasn't to MY house. Sooo, had to call and be irate with the UPS people to find out what happened to my other shipment. After spending WAY too much time with these people who give you the same song and dance, I told them I could just drive to where it was shipped (because they couldn't seem to get them on the phone) to find the box faster than they were going to do somthing about it. So, I drive 15 mins. away to where the box was delivered.....to a slew of warehouses with LOTS of loading docs (it said that it was delivered to a loading doc ... apparently UPS thinks that Briarcliff Road looks exactly like Crossroads Parkway! :eek:). Finally find the right loading dock where it was delivered, only to talk to the doc guy in charge and he said that he noticed that the package wasn't theirs and gave it back to the UPS guy, who didn't erase the "delivered" on the package. Soooooo, time to call UPS again and be irate....again. Now I am not at home to get the package and the UPS guy has taken it and (hopefully) is delivering it to the CORRECT address. So, I race back home (right by the police station....thankfully they were all oblivious to the fact that I was doing like 70 in a 45 :)o:eek:).... got home to find the package sitting by the door. I called the UPS one more time to tell them..... aw, who cares. This is what I got (there are 5 of them and sorry the pics are bad...):

WOW!!! Yup......jealous.:D I usually have that prob with FedEx :eek:!!! They all look wonderful considering the hassle, not that it wasn't worth it!
 
People that brag just really get on my nerves. I just don't think we can be friends anymore Julie! :D


Seriously though... all of your new babies are adorable and big congratulations to you!
 
UPS did the same thing to me with some of my chameleons once.... They did nothing to make right, I had to go drive and get it and it was POURING RAIN.

Flux better have some Mellers left for me or I'm gonna be mad!!!!!!!!!!:D

I am glad you got fully dressed for the delivery man :p I have always wondered how many random half naked people they see when they make deliveries...

Your soo lucky you have room for the mellers I am sooooooooo jealous because I dont have the room and I cant have a free range outside because colorados weather sucks for chameleons lol... I cant wait to see them older!!
 
:eek: 4 babies and then some. Julie you were keeping this secret from all us other Fluxlizard melleri owners, shame on you! :p Now I know who to contact for my next melleri! You got your hands full that's for sure, if you need any help, let me know and I'll jump on the next flight :D!
 
Thank you everyone! It has been a couple of years since I've had any baby melleri and they are just wonderful! And a big thank you to Fluxlizard and also to Seeco for the K. Mulituberculata. You both have done a temendous job raising these gems thus far!! :D

Na, I'm pretty sure my UPS guy is used to it by now. :rolleyes:

I DON'T have the room! (well, not any more...) Melleri Keeping Rule #2: You MAKE the room for them, even if that means putting some in your daughter's room, etc...... :D

No - I believe I said in another thread that I couldn't wait to get mine. I think that counts. :eek: I'll take whatever help I can get!! ....um, so long as you're willing to sleep on the floor because there will be chams everywhere.


I appreciate the comments everyone (positive and the hateful kind :p). If you are passionate about something, you should go forth with gusto. I have been SO passionate about melleri since the very beginning because they are (in my opinion) the best cham to keep for many reasons, despite their size. I have really put so much time, effort, space and money into keeping and breeding them. Unfortunately, at times it includes breaking out the plastic if they are offered as captive babies. As luck would have it, Flux and I each have a clutch in the same year and it is my intention to breed my offspring with his.
 
:eek: Oops, I guess I better learn how to read, LOL. I don't mind sleeping on the floor either :D. Will you put me on your list for a melleri baby?
