Looking for a Chameleon

I've been looking at chameleons for my next reptile, i currently have 2 adult leopard geckos, 2 baby leopard geckos (that i hatched), a bearded dragon, a green tree frog, and a crested gecko. I'm looking for a smaller chameleon under a foot or close to a foot. I've been looking at Pygmys and carpets. I know that Veiled, and Panthers are the main first time chameleon keeper animals. Which of those 2 or any other chameleon under a foot. The size of the enclosure is not a big problem as i will most likely be making my own enclosure so it can be made as needed. What type of chameleon would you recomend.

(I have been keeping reptiles for over 2 years now)

thanks, ill defiantly add that to my list. Do you have any experience with them? Do they generally have a clam demeanor?

Hi,
Veileds can grow up to 24 inches, and panthers can grow up to 20 inches. They are both really good starter chameleons! I have also heard carpet chameleons are good starters, but you probably should't start with a pygmy chameleon. I am also new to chameleon keeping, as I acquired my first panther chameleon three days ago. Jackson's chameleons are also known to be pretty good starters. An adult panther or veiled chameleon will need a 2' x 2' x 4' screen enclosure. Good luck on your chameleon adventure! They are fascinating animals. :)

That same section of the forum, called "Resources" found in the green bar near the top, lists everything you need to know--feeding, enclosures, lighting, etc.

You will find many chams for sale in the "Classifieds" section, in the same green bar above.
