I am looking for someone that has a contact that can export panthers from madagascar. I was talking with someone that was "putting together a shipment" but after doing some research I learned the guy had screwed some people over so now I am looking for someone else.

If you are about to have some panthers brought over and are putting together a shipment let me know. I am aware that most exporters require a minimum of 10+ and I am well prepared for that.

Please pm me if you do.

Thanks,
Dustin

Also, I am well aware of the risks that come with wild caught specimens and I have done plenty of research as well as have a vet lined up that will inspect for parasites etc.

At the kingsnake website, click on the Business tab at the top and scroll to the very bottom. On the left side, they list a bunch importers and exporters. Might give some of them a try. I think they all require a bulk order though.

I sent emails to almost all of them and it seems like none of them have a contact in madagascar. I got alot of helpful info on how to get an importers licence so I didn't have to go through the whole middle man situation, but I dont trust my ability to find an exporter in madagascar :(

most of them dealt with ball pythons etc.

Try going to faunaclassifieds and talk to the lemur dealers/brokers, they have to have a contact in Madagascar. I think all lemurs come from Madagascar and you won't be considered a threat to their little niche in the exotic pet trade.

Whats up with importing chameleons? If importing is ok, then why is it so importaint to buy captive bought chameleons.

Imports have traditionally had higher mortality rates, with the main factors being parasites, stress from capture, group holding pens , shipping, dehydration, lack of food, and inability to acclimate to a cage existence. Captive bred Chams don't face most of those factors.:D
