I don't live in the Tacoma area, but used to. If you take the Canyon Rd exit off 512 you'll find a shopping center - I believe it's an Albertsons store along with a whole lot of little strip mall shops. At the end (closest to 112th) is a little pet store. Alternately, you could just take 112th all the way from Lakewood to just before the Canyon Rd light and the store will be on your left. I do not remember the name of it and quite frankly, it won't win any awards for best or cleanest pet store (stinky is an understatement) but it has a very large variety of feeders. 100 crickets were about 8 dollars and they had all sorts of feeder worms - phoenix, butter, horned, silk, meal, super, wax and likely others that I'm not remembering.

I was in there a couple weeks ago when we adopted a veiled from my sister when she moved. I needed feeders immediately as we had none. I was able to stock up there before my drive over the passes to central WA. The crickets seemed healthy/hearty - we bought 100 of them and are feeding the last of them this weekend. The ones that got too big during that time became a treat for our chickens - who think crickets are the bomb!

Our only source over this way is Petco and they charge 12 cents each - I'd spend more feeding this little chameleon than I do my 60 pound dog at that rate! I'm researching and prepping for a dubia colony order and I'll order crix and worms via the web in the mean time. Mulberry seems to have the best selection/variety of worms and their crix are a good price too. I'll be ordering 500 soon - that's way too many for my cham but even with the waste it'll be cheaper than buying from Petco - and none will actually get wasted since I have chickens eager to do their part to keep use up crickets.
