I wouldnt take the day off. Just peak in on her when you get back. If she doesnt dig and lay in the next few days you can try the large trash can (plastic
) bin method. Get a big trash bin so you can fill it up with a foot or so of soil but she cant get out. Put a light shinning down in there for her and see if she does her thing.
