It's gone now, I didn't think that'd be a good idea, but just checking. Took him outside today for some sun, heavy mistings, and ate a ton of blue bottleflies. Maybe it was the shedding causing weird behavior. @kinyonga would you take to the vet for a checkup or do you think right now it wouldn't be necessary just yet?
I think I would just keep an eye on him for now. It's really up to you though.
What's in bug buffet in the way of D3 and prEformed vitamin A?
I'm a little curious about why he's missing the insects and the way he sits on the branch...but I can't figure out what's going on or if it really is a concern.
I'll have to Check the bug buffet ingredients tonight. I know theres sseet potatoe(vit A). He caught a bunch of bottleflies today flying around his cage, his tongue seems better atm.
"Bug buffet contains sun dried alfalfa with no additives or preservatives. The next ingredients are 100% organic and preservative free: bee pollen, raw wheat germ, sweet potato, ground poppy seeds, ground almonds, kelp powder, spirulina powder, ground sunflower seeds, ground flax seeds, and zucchini powder. The next ingredients make up a small percent of the total product: whole grain oats, corn meal, dehydrated milk, dried ground peas, oak leaves, and other proprietary ingredients."
Are you thinking vitamin deficiency could be causing eye/tongue problems?
Oh I see. Well I haven't had him all that long, even if it did, would it cause problems so soon? Especially since my other cham didn't go through any of this? I'm not fully understanding though, absolutely not trying to seem argumentative, just curious. Should I be carefully measuring my gutload? I also use a frozen cube of blended stuff that I put together.
I didn't realize you only had it a couple of weeks....I thought it was a couple of months...so likely if there is something out of balance it was already there when you got him althoughninsuppose it could have progressed since you got him.
