Love this guy! Cristatus Rock!!

Joel you are slowly, every so slowly, changing my mind about that little group you bought. One day I might get one from you. Maybe. I still think they are ugly, but am slowly starting to find that prehistoric look about them rather appealing. The blue crown and stripes on the throat are spectacular. How big do the males get? Are the males the only ones with the stripes and blue crown?

I knew it was coming!! I told you they would grow on you.

When my eggs hatch, we will have to talk. I think some would love a home a Chateau Jeanpierre.

Melleri will always be my number one passion as far as breeding and getting CB is concerned. But, all the little species that get imported just to die out in a year like cristatus, multituberculata, etc. really have got my attention too.

They are a medium size chameleon. Roughly quad size, but not as big.

When you say "not as big," do you mean lighter framed? So about the same size but weighing less?

And, yes, their weird proportions and angles are starting to grow on me. They are the opposite to my Mickey Malthe. He is beautifully proportoned and each body part flows into the next, sleek, athletic. Your dinosaurs are the wildebeests of the chameleon world. Nothing fits. All that said, their blue crown and the throat stripes are really special.

I meant they just aren't as bulky. Quads are thick and have really dumpy legs. T. cristatus don't get near that size as far as girth is concerned. Their prehistoric look is what has always drawn me to them.

These are not my pictures, I just pulled them from the web for reference.
