Low humidity

Hello everybody! I had a question on my enclosure for my 3 month old veiled. Ever since I've had him I've been having problems keeping his humidity up. It usually dips into the 40% area and is really hard to get it up from there. I have a mister that goes off every two hours for 60 seconds, a fogger, a little dripper, and two live plants (umbrella plant and pothos). How do I keep it up?!

Chameleon info:

My Chameleon: 3 month old male veiled chameleon. I got him a month ago.

Handling: none.

Feeding: I have small crickets in a cricket keeper with greens and fruits for gutload. Dust with calcium.

Supplements: see Feeding

Watering: Little Dripper on top of cage with spout dripping water onto fake leaves on side of cage. Fogger, mister. Had to put a bucket under cage because water was getting on my dresser. I mist twice a day.

Fecal Description: Seems to be normal. Wet but probably because the bottom if the cage is wet.

History: none.

Cage info:

Cage type: medium (18x18x30 in.) reptibreeze terrarium.

Lighting: UVB dome lamp and 50 watt basking bulb

Humidity: 40-45%

Temperature: 80-86 degrees Fahrenheit

Plants: live and fake plants

Placement: top of cage is about 7 feet high on dresser

Location: Colorado

Current Problem: Low humidity

Where's your hygrometer hanging?
If it's close to the baskingspot that's a bad place since humidity will be lower there due to the heat.
An analog hygrometer often isn't that accurate as well.

With the amount of spraying and fogging you do I don't think you should worry to much if his urates stay white, even if humidity is 40% the fogging and misting still will give enough spikes during the day.
I would however try and put in some misting of a couple of minutes so it gives your cham a better chance to clean out his eyes and drink.

Ok good to know. Is there any hygrometer you could recommend that I could get off of amazon? And the hygrometer is eight inches below basking spot.

Sorry, I can't reccomend a hygrometer...
I once bought some cheap thermo/hygro-meter combo's from aliexpress but they were a huge disapointment I now have no hygrometer in the enclosure, instead I use my humidifiers hygrostat and hygrometer.

I would hang the hygrometer halfway down to the bottom maybe even lower.
Your cham can move down in his enclosure for a little more humidity and up to bask.
