so only having been in the hobby about 4 months,
my first diy was using a clay flower pot to anchor some climbing vines, simple enough, right?
well i had some aquarium gravel laying around, so i put some in the pot for weight and decor(problem).
lately minion has been more actively going to the bottom of his cage for leaves from his hibiscus. apparently red gravel is pretty tempting to minion.
i was cleaning his cage and when i looked at his poo it looked odd. you guessed it, he shot a piece of gravel but luckily he passed it right thru(thank you God). now his cage has been re-cham proofed

lesson- if they can get it between the jaws, they will try to eat it!

phew, good thing you found out now! Glad he's okay! Keep a close eye on him just in case for the next couple days.

That is extremely lucky!

I also had an issue with things like this. I had some moss at the bottom for moisture reasons (Before I knew you aren't supposed to have substrate :() and Monty tried to eat it and got his mouth stuck on the moss for a while, trying to eat it! I guess it looked like food.

Maybe the red gravely stuff looked like hibiscus flowers?

That was a lucky escape.I suppose you can't learn without making mistakes here and there.good job it didn't prove a costly one.I'm delighted minion was ok and maybe others can learn from this

that was y i posted it.
when i put it together i didn't consider the details,
one thing with chams... u must consider the details.

i was lucky, i hope others will read this and review all the decorations...
