Luna Moths

My husband just caught a Luna moth. I have no idea if its male or female but I want to keep it in hopes of it being female and laying eggs. Anyone have experience with them to tell me what to do with it regarding eggs?

If it's a female you can put her outside in a wire cage and she will call in males with her pheromones .

Great idea! But how do I assure that the male can get to her without letting her escape?

Use 1/4 -1/2 wire

Yes That should work.
you can sex them by looking at their antenna. Long and thin= female. short and wide= male
