hey, I'm looking for a good reptile magazine to order. i've checked out all of the stores in my area and nothing. Does anybody know where I could purchase a subscription? or is it even worth purchasing ?? any suggested books would be great too. I have a veiled chameleon, a Chinese Water Dragon and a Milk Snake. I do own a few Chameleon books and have the use of 'Reptile medicine and Surgery' by Mader Thanks in advance!

The Reptiles magazine is really good - they always have a variety of featured species and really good articles on care, lighting, new morphs, conservation etc. You can subscribe directly through their website. I recommend it!

Reptiles is pretty good- probably the best.

Selection really is kind of limited unless you want to pay a premium for mags published outside the US.

I really miss reptile and amphibian and the vivarium magazines.

Reptiles can feel a lot like a care sheet sometimes- a lot of the smaller articles now don't even bother with complete information about breeding. Some of the larger ones don't either. But most issues there is one article that is more in depth. R&A and vivarium had deeper information usually, IMO.

Is the mag by TFH still around? That one had the least amount of in depth info usually, but was still a fun read because it wasn't articles about the same animals repeating over and over again over the years. You could learn about more than bearded dragons, blue tongue skinks, panther chameleons, corn snakes and ball pythons... That keeps reptiles magazine a good resource for beginners, but the repeats seem kind of frequent after several years at times...

Herp Nation is a sponsor and I've really enjoyed the few copies I've had a chance to read. They publish 6 issues a year.

My favorite is Reptilla. it only come out 6 times a year and it mailed from europe, but I love the in depth articles. Cost more than some but it is so worth it.

I get REPTILES but I think it's poorly put together. I get TFH's magazine for fish and it's amazing! Just my 2cents
