Male gives up quickly

Has anyone had a male panther charge a female to mount her then just stop cold. This male is about a year old and the female is too. She is receptive she and does not change color when he approaches her. He starts up with the head bobbing when he sees her and when i introduce her he grabs her and then just stops. Ive only tried him out twice but its been the same thing twice. The second time i just left the female in there and he eventually just went along like she wasnt there.

I sort of have the same thing. I have 2 female veiled and 1 male. The first time I put him with one of the females, she got nasty, turned and bit him. He will mate with the other female but will have nothing to do with the first female. I put him in with her and he will get as far away form her as the cage will allow. But my male has a reason for acting that way, not sure about yours, do you have another female to see how he acts with her?

My male bobs his head and rushes her, she had no chance. So she just submits.

Well it turned out that the female was just not ready. She had the size to breed and all she just wasnt receptive. Yesterday i noticed some bright pink colors not displayed before. As soon as i introduced her to the male he mounted successfully. It was so successful that when he was done he switched and used his reserves minutes after the first copulation.
