male too agresive?

I've recently thought about breeding my panthers. My male is VERY agresive towards the female. To the point I feel the need to separate them. I've introduced the male to the females cage, the female to the males cage and even out of their cages on a free range of sorts. Each time the female retains her receptive colouration but the male gets very agitated, almost injuring the female before I step in. Any ideas how to reduce the males agresion? The male is close to two years & the female is around one and a half. Thanks

Does your male act aggressively in other situations, or only when introduced to the female? When in sight of the female the male should bob his head and make advances toward the female, which could be mistaken as aggression I suppose. Is he actually biting your female?

When I've miscalculated pairings and there is aggression, I reintroduce the male after a couple of days. Patiently doing that 2-3 times usually works. If your male is actually attempting to bite though, make sure you are present to act as a referee and break it up!

yea, the male actualy bites. not bluffing not posturing, really aggresive. i've tried several times but the male is really nasty towards her. thankfully i've stuck around to ref!
