Male Veild acting a lil strange

Sounds painful. I broke the tip of a nail off my Male, but he was okay. He got stuck on the wire or something brushed against his foot, I don't remember. Its weird.

When I had Jake out today i grabbed his foot to examine the claw and he didn't seem to mind me holding his foot. so while he was looking around the room i put some ointment one his toes... I can't imagine they make chameleon band-aids...... so I guess whatever he doesn't wipe off while walking should help him heal.

He goes to the vet tomorrow... I'll ask the doc what he thinks.

"I don't want to make a statement I can't back up... But it was my understanding that it doesn't matter if she mates or not when it comes to becoming egg bound. I thought it has more to do with the timing of laying the eggs."

Thats true. But some females can be picky about what you have for them to lay their eggs in and will refuse to lay them (I think I read that somewhere). I'm more so worried that she won't like what we have for her and not lay her eggs, or something along those lines that would put her at risk for becoming egg bound.

good idea. My cham wouldnt stand still for us to look at his busted nail. but he wasn't bleeding and didnt seem fazed so we left him alone and its doing fine.

I hope everything goes well for you at the vet tomorrow

I was told to use a 5 gallon bucket with dirt and sand..... I didn't add sand. I filled it up to almost the top. placed a fake plant on one side to give my girl some coverage and made sure she couldn't see outside of the cage from the bucket. I then placed vines going down into the bucket... within a few days she found it and spent two or three days digging and digging. just don't bother her, don't look in or make much noise. I forget who told me to use the bucket, but the person said it has never once failed.

Thanks for that tip! I forgot that i'd have to put some coverage for her to hide herself while laying her eggs :|
