Hi everyone, im new to chameleons and can honestly say i cant believe how attached you get to these animals! I bought my little man about 3 weeks ago, hes always ate well, drank well. Never hissed at me and LOVES being out. He comes down from his perch when i walk into the room, he paws at the glass until i open it and climbs straight onto my hand turning a bright green with little turqoise spots... but when hes in his viv hes usually a browny/grey colour , or a grey with light grey/bluey bands and is more often than not staring out of the glass at me.
I think ive got his viv set up right.... its only 2x2ft (we are getting his 4ft in next few weeks) his basking is 80-85 during day (for 12 hours) and doesn't drop below 70 in the night.... he sleeps from the minute we turn his lights off until we turn them back on most mornings. The humididty levels range from 50-70. He has a pothos plant, artificial plants and vines.
I just look forward to the day he is a nice bright colour whilst in his viv like he is when hes out of it any one got any ideas?
Thanks
