In my experience with them, if One male and multiple females have plenty of space and multiple basking sites, then they will establish a hirearchy and following distubances will be few and infrequent.
I wouldn't suggest keeping males together alone, that is, without a significantly larger ratio of females. With say a group of at least 2.4, the subdominant male will not react and seemingly be satisfied with his place in the group. Any less females and the dominant male tends to be much more protective and not willing to share his ladies.
As lynda said, some will just not tolerate anyone!

All I can say is never I mean NEVER put two males together. Unless they have grown up together, I put two together and they did ok for a while but then one became the dominent one and the other one passed away for uncertain reasons. But a few females should be good. I have 2 Bearded Dragons together and they are fine (Females)

Malis and uros in general tend to take around 2 years to reach sexual maturity. They grow kind of slow but are really great pets. Make sure you occasionally offer them protein ( and i mean VERY occasionally). My mali's like to eat silkworms and hornworms when i offer them to 'em.
As a rule of thumb it's just a good idea to house mali's separately. If you don't there's a good chance that they can damage eachother in skirmishes for the highest spot in the cage... with all females it's less likely, but if more than one male is in a cage together it's going to be a constant tugglewar and will be very stressful on both creatures.

But not all Uros like eating meat. Therefore I have to feed mine pelets that have protein because my Mali Uro grew up on just greens and he grew very good. He weighs like a lot, he gain a tremendous amount of weight after I got him because he was in the same cage as other Uros, and he got a lot more food because he wasn't the dominent male.

no you're right, but i wasn't saying you had to feed them bugs i just said they need protein. Mine happen to like silkies and hornwoods and it's fun to watch them eat those things (they maul the things my malis even like crickets)!!

Wow, mine is too lazy to even look at them. Lol, he will just eat greens, thats all he really likes, besides the occasional squash, cranberries, strawberries, I spoil my lizards with fruit.
