Massive Wide - Horned Hissers and a few others !! Woah !!

Thought I would share some of the roaches I keep, both as feeders and collection! Although there are very few that could take down these adults besides monitors, I raise these wide horned Hissers as feeders (using nymphs of course ) because of the MASSIVE amount of babies they have! Which makes sense because.. look at the size of them...



Thought this was a cool close up shot of a silk moth !



Raising feeders has become as big a hobby of mine as raising and breeding chameleons and other reptiles.

Just thought I'd share a couple other pictures as well as I haven't been on here as much as I'd like lately ! Enjoy !




And a picture of me and a really old man I met on vacation a few weeks ago. Just a big ol' Galapagos tortoise... He loved his neck scratched!!

It's cool having the full solution on a hobby. How big are the nymphs for feeding? Do you have some pics of the young?

They are mini sized compared to the ones the Ritz Motel in atlantic city had. Keep in mind this was around 1980. But i was afraid they were going to carry me off. My parents actually took us somewhere else. They were just TOO HUGE!

Nymphs are about 3/8ths of an inch long, which is surprisingly large when one considers the size of clutch.. but they are quite soft bodied compared to other roaches until they are adult size.. once at that point, however, they are wearing body armor haha.

MAN!! As far as science is concerned, it doesnt get much bigger than these !! So I gotta get ahold of some of those rare Atlantic City locale, Ritz Motel Spotted Roaches !!
