May 26th (Tues) South Bay Chameleon Keepers Meeting

Dave did a really awesome job on the lecture.

For those not there it was a very insightful structured look into the electromagnetic spectrum, artificial lighting, and how it may affect our chameleons.
Lots of questions asked, and lots of knowledge learned. I found it very informative, I really look forward to more lectures in the future.

Dave also announced next meeting is taking place at Dr. Greek's office, with perhaps a lecture from the Doctor himself.

Anyways, the meeting was pretty exceptional. I felt like it was the most informative one I have been to yet.

Man that would of been cool for someone to video tape Dave's lecture and post a video here for all cham owners

Loads of people. Toni was snapping loads of shots. She'll probably upload soon. Why don't you ever come? You live near some of the members who show up.

Dave did a great presentation on UVB.

Yes I do live close but Tuesdays is the night I get off work at 6:30 then have to run to get my son at the BAGC then run him off to practice and buy the time that is over it's 8:30ish and still have to drive from santa monica to hawthorne and get him in bed for school the next day.

Never been to any of the meetings. I've met a ton of people from the forums. (Dave, Tylene, Ryan, Clemonde, Steve). And yes remind me when we get together and I'll get it back from my brother.

Great meeting

Howdy All,

I had fun presenting the 1 hour lecture: ”Reptiles are Solar Powered”, created by Dr. Frances Baines of "UV Guide UK" fame . It really great of her to let me borrow the material for our meeting. I think the group now has a better idea that, as Dr. Henry Brames puts it: "Reptile lighting is a process, not a bulb."
