ok my beetles finally hatched are they going to lay eggs?if so how? i have them on paper towles with half of an potatoe and it would help if they laid eggs so basically i would REALLY appreciate it if some one could post how to breed them and incubate the eggs!????? thanks very much:D

Get some wheat bran or wheat flake cereal. Crush the cereal or preferably, just use the wheat bran, but either one works well. Fill a plastic bin about an inch deep and throw the beetles in. If they are kept at about 80-85F they'll lay eggs in this wheat substrate. There are is really no need for incubation. If the temperature is maintained, there will be insanely small mealworms burrowing through the wheat bran after about 3 weeks. They will be so small, you will need to pour a scoop of wheat bran onto a piece of white paper and sift it back and forth. You will eventually see some tiny worms crawling. Some people use oatmeal, but it contains a lot of phosphorus which isn't the greatest item to pass on to your chameleons as it inhibits calcium absorbtion. I make my mealworm and superworm substrate from a mix of whaet bran and spirulina.
