Hello - I am fairly new to the forums, I have not had much luck getting responces on my other threads so I will try once more. This forum has been a great resource for me. I got my male baby Nosey Be last Friday. He was hatched on 7/3/13, so he is just under 3 months. I have attached some pictures and would like some opinions as to how he looks.

I have not seen him eat or drink, he is very shy when I try looking in on him. I am using pretty small crickets and butterworms, so I am not sure if he is eating them or they are escaping. I have found some of the butterworms in the plant soil which is covered with river rock. If they burrow will they die or grow into some sort of fly? If they do are the flies safe to eat?

I am probably just a worrier, so I guess I am just looking for some reassurances, that he looks ok.

Thanks

i think he looks great. maybe try cup feeding so you can make sure he eats.

he looks like he is eating to me lol.. not to sound funny but how do his poos look? if he has "good" poops..then hes most likely eating and drinking when you arent around especially if hes really shy i have yet to see my 2 veileds drink..poops/urates look good so theyre getting water.. i just never see them..my baby panthers i see drink and eat all the time

He is very healthy looking...juice28 ^ is correct! If he is defecating regularly, then chances are he is eating/drinking when you're not looking. Chams tend to be very shy, especially at a young age. :p

Thanks

Thanks guys, I am going to try the cup feeding.

He has poo'd twice since I got him. They are pretty small, very dark brown with a yellowish urate.

I really appreciate your time. :)

Yellow instead of pure white shows there is a little dehydration, I would drip water longer, and spray longer, some chams need time before they will drink.

Try Horn Worms and super worms, variety can help on eating. Another trick is to place the cricket, super or horn on the screen below the cham, and get them to crawl up toward the cham. That should trigger feeding.:D
