Meet Puma!

Puma was a male maroansetra that a forum member on here had listed up for adoption that had a bad uri and some nice eye infections to go with it. He was out of range of any experienced vets and he wanted him to go to someone who would save him, so I offered to take him in. Its now been about 5 months or so since he has been in my care and he is doing excellent. His eyes still have issues from time to time, but I believe his preexisting condition caused some long term damage his eyes. Its been a month and a half since I have seen any issues and he is probably one of my favorite chameleons I have. He is very friendly and is a fantastic eater, and he will shoot his tongue a good 12inches+ sometimes to nag a bite to eat. I got him all fired up for the photo. He is a beautiful boy!

Look at you and you east coast chameleons. He is looking great, similar to Tamatave but definitely Maro. Well done bud!

Hey thanks chris! Hes a good looking guy for sure, and I am happy with his recovery. The Maroansetras are very similar to tamataves indeed, and they are easily mixed up to the inexperienced eye that hasn't throughly seen both locales side by side. Here is the photos of an actual tamatave i received last year from you. https://www.chameleonforums.com/one-incredible-tamatave-19244/. Notice the green is completely gone from that guy when he is fired up, while the maros are very green still fired up, and maros dont have near as much white fired up like the tamataves do. It is easily confused, especially when importers think they know the difference. Ooo, and you need to show me that faly of yours you are breeding that ive heard so much about!
