Well, I actually don't have any wires going into the cage at all. That's one of the beauties of the AquaZamp RainDome, you don't even have to cut a hole for the mister.
I do have cricket escapees though... The drain pan I bought from LLL Reptiles doesn't perfectly fit my Reptibreeze cage. I haven't measured, but I'm sure either the cage or drip pan isn't exactly 24". So the pan sticks out from the sides of the cage making a nice little escape slot on both sides. I've added weather stripping to fill the slot, and that seems to have solved it.
I gotta say again, it's really disappointing that there isn't really a good solution available for drainage. I have to slightly tilt the whole deal (for now) to get the water (most of it) to head down the drain.
