Melleri Room Finished!

That is awesome! What are the green rods you used (the ones with the little bumps on 'em) and where can they be purchased?

Yep, Lowes / Home Depot. You'll find them in the gardening area. I have a ton of them already. Keep my tomatoes off the ground. You'll find them in different sizes and lengths. :D

Thanks! It took about 1 1/2 years to get done. - I'm slow and ran into permit issues (NJ)! It was all worth it though. The Mellers seem to be adjusting well and using every inch of the room!

Totally incredible set up. I couldn't figure out why you needed to pull a permit until I started seeing your pictures. That is one impressive free range room. Thanks for sharing. You've given me a bunch of additional great ideas.

That's the most amazing setup I've ever seen! What lucky little guys! I can't wait to see pictures of them exploring their awesome home :)

Wow just wow, I think that's by far the best indoors free roam setup I've ever seen. Great job on that, not gonna lie pretty jealous of your setup. I'm sure your mellers love it.

Thanks so much! They are both settling in more and more as time goes by. Each has chosen a different side of the room for sleeping.

Well, if you took notice that I live in New Jersey, that would pretty much explain the "I need a permit for everything" concept! Hot water heater permit, electrical permit, and plumbing permit! The aggravation was all worth it though! Glad I could give you some ideas. I got most of my ideas from these forums also. Good Luck with your projects!

Thanks! There are photos of them in this thread. I also have photos in one of my albums. Thanks again for the compliment!

I absolutely LOVE your set-up! By far the best I have seen as of yet. Well, your hard work definitely paid off! Well done. I know it can take a lot, but it would be incredible to possibly do a blog of everything that you did. Hubby and I have already looked at ideas from this when we buy a house...plan on designating a room to a free-range.

Again, fantastic job! :)

where did you buy those trays where your plants sit on?
They are called Tray Huggers and come in all sizes. I LOVE them - great quality, easy to clean, make your drainage holes wherever you need them, etc. I bought mine from a horticulture supply store in my area. Do a Google search for tray huggers to find them in your area or go to www.trayhugger.com for information.

What an awesome setup! Lucky chams...
Thank you!

Someone suggested a blog previously and it is on my "To Do" list - but there is a lot on the list before the blog. Thanks so much for the nice compliment!
