Hi All!
Well, it's been 3 months now since my mellers chameleons hatched, and I'm very happy to report that I haven't lost a single one!
All 32 are still going strong.
I thought I'd post some pics for their 3 month birthdays.
You can compare with hatchling pics here and with 2 month old pics here to watch them grow!
There has been more variance this past month in growth rate compared to the first 2 months, in spite of keeping similar sized individuals 4 per cage spread over 8 cages the past couple of months. It's been interesting because it seems to be happening in thirds- about a 3rd really accelerated dramatically in growth rate, then about a third are slower, with about a third in between. Variance in growth rate among clutchmates is, of course, pretty normal for most lizards- the smallest are still looking very strong and healthy here.
Just one more month to go until these are ready to move on to their new homes!
Ok- enough talk, here's some pics!:
Smallest in the bunch. Coudn't get a focused pic of this one for some reason:
Some handsome fellows from the larger end of the clutch
Just noticed I have crushed mustard green stains on my thumb lol!
Only 1 month more!
