okay, so im getting a chameleon but there is a mirror on the wall across the room from where he will be set up, could it be a potential problem?

Are you getting a male. Also go to where the cage is and look at the mirror if you can't see yourself no problem.

How far away is the mirror? You say across the room but how long is it in feet?

The mirror is 10 feet away directly on the other side of the room from where the cage will be, if you stand where the cage will be you can see yourself

It might be a problem. Can you move the mirror or cage to a different place? If you can then you should just to play it safe. You don't want your cham getting stressed if he sees himself. If he is always seeing his reflection it will stress him and shorten his life.

I'd say if your getting a male def move or cover up the mirror. For most chameleon species females usually tolerate each other pretty well. I know lots of people that even house them together.

If i dont move or cover it up, what signs can i look for to know if he is stressed?

If he sees himself he will most likely puff out his beard and "fire up". I have a mirror across from my 2 panthers cages that is on my closet door and i just keep my door open so there is no chance of them seeing each other or themselves.
