mist king help

hi all, i'm looking to buy a mist king. I briefly looked at the website and saw they had a couple of different models, anyone with a mist king have any recommendations as to which one i should get? I currently have a monsoon machine and the timer on it is trash, the longest misting session i can do is 120 seconds which is not long enough at all. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated! thanks!.....edit- after seeing the prices would the starter kit be sufficient? :ROFLMAO:

Depends on the size of your setup, but the Starter kit is more than sufficient for the typical cham cage holding only one chameleon. A few extras you may want to purchase is the corner fitting (piece of plastic that helps secure the MistKing in the corner of a screen cage...its about $5), and the tubing cutter (another 5 dollars). Other than that, you can add a few nozzles at a later time (up to 10 with starter).

From there, buy a Tupperware container or bucket for the reservoir, and ensure you have the appropriate drill bit to make the hole.

Everything else (for basic setup) is included in the $129 kit...

Awesome, yes it is just for one cage 2x2x4 with 1 Cham (heavily planted though). I will probably order an extra nozzle so I have 2...if I do that will it come with 2 hoses to connect them?

I don't think so, but addition tubing is extremely cheap. My enclosure is heavily planted as well, and the one MistKing does fine with additional hand misting on the individual plants....

Funny, I bought a MistKing, and my chameleon prefers the Big Dripper for drinking more than the mist lol..

Get a Climist it's the exact same thing but cheaper than the MK and you can buy extra parts on ebay

awesome @Nursemaia @ChamLB ill check them both out. I know you 2 are experienced cham owners and just posted a forum about something else that alarmed me with my cham. I will post it here as well, any input would be appreciated.

-so i really hope this is not serious (i have read some things relating to MBD). My cham just shook when he was standing next to the mister as it was going off...I done know if it was because he was slightly getting sprayed or what. from what i have seen he has never done this before. Should i be alarmed by this? it seemed to be only he neck and head twitching. I will also post a pic i took of him 10 mins bfr it happened...let me know if u notice anything bad but i think he looks extremely healthy. thanks again and sorry again for changing the topic of this page lol. oh plus sorry this is a screenshot of my snapchat i took so it has my snapchat name on it...feel free to add me anyone!:ROFLMAO:

I bought my first mister Saturday, I got the MK Starter with ST-24 timer. More than satisfied with the ease of install, seems to be solid/well made material, and the best way to describe the ST-24 timer is to say it is "FULLY" programmable. Its easy to program yet has more options than I can every see my self using. The install guide it comes with is detailed but written in a way that a 10 year old kid can understand it.

I have 2 Mistking and 1 Climist both work equally well.

I agree with this from what I have researched on the Climist. However the Mist King has the better timer control and display hands down unless Climist has upped their game. I like the fact it's more of a wired remote control so I have it attached to the side of my terrarium with the supplied Velcro and can access it anytime without getting to the main connectors. The display is also very easy to read.

I'll buy your old monsoon if it's still pretty new! lol.
honestly it woks just fine but where the tubing connects to the mister itself it is a little loose. I see u live in cali, the shipping alone for this thing would prob be 15 or 20 (I'm guessing), I would only charge u like 20 for the system. S o i don't know if this would be worth it for u or if u would just want to buy new.

I ment to mention this yesterday so oops im a little late ..anyway if your only problem with the monsoon is the timer you can always use an external timer and just set the system on the on mode and plug it into the timer
