Mist King or AquaZamp? Please help me decide.

I have been wondering about the RainDome... Besides the fact that you don't have to cut out holes in the cage, what do you think are the advantages of this system over the classic spray nozzle?

A lot of chameleons run for the hills when being sprayed. The raindome kind of simulates a more natural rain like watering. With one of my panthers, i had a hard time keeping him completely hydrated even with loooong mistings from the mistking. But once i made my own rain dome, i never had a problem with that again.

Rain dome? Maybe you can make a build thread on it?:)

Thanks, Sticktongue. That actually makes a lot of sense. I have a one-eyed panther that can no longer triangulate and, while he can still lick water droplets off leaves, may not be getting enough water just using mistking. I have been watering him with a pipette, but a raindome-like solution may actually be better for him.

How did you make a rain dome? Did you already have nozzles in the cage? I am thinking I could put a plastic sheet over the top of the cage and orient the nozzles toward it. Do you think that would work?

mistking for the win

im sorry but i have owned both and even talked to both companies at reptile shows and i have to say im way more happier with my mist king even when i used my aqua zamp i ended up using a lot og mistkings parts after i wasnt happy with aquazamp not only that but the zip drip makes it worth it to me they may be a bit mor expensive but definitly worth every penny. i found i couldnt use as many heads on the aquazamp and tried to talk to the aquazamp guy at a reptile show in sac he gave me all the ways to solve it and i tried all of them he eventually through emails had me send mine in got me a new one same problem not up to parr go mist king!!!! i breed gargoyle and crested geckos as well as dart frogs i need it to be reliable and mist king is

Hey Ukbasil, this is actually a very old thread that someone just posted on. You would get answers to your question in a more timely manner if you start your own new thread and ask away! Put a topic in the title space to give people a hint at what you are asking. Also, the raindome is from aquazamp. Are you using it with a mistking? If so, you may want to use that as your title..."Raindome with Mistking...schedule?" Hope that gets you more exposure ;).

No mistking do a rain nozzle system Google it! Also i did try putting up a new post but it wouldn't let me for some reason
