Mist King

If you find out let me know too, I would love one but online I've seen it around $120 which is a little steep for something that isn't totally necessary.

I looked for a Mist King at a good price and it seems like the market just doesn't allow for much of a discount on these. $120 is a good price considering I wasn't able go get it for less than retail of $129. A week after I got it,the vendor I bought it from had a $10 off for any item over $100....Go figure.

Automated misting is one of the best investments you can make for the care of your Cham. Most breeders, keepers and those who have had these awesome creatures will attest that a chameleon should be misted 3-4 times a day for at least 1-2 minutes or more each time. This is important for their health. If you work or are not home during the day - who will do this? This puts it at the very important level for me - a requirement.

I looked into making my own and it is feasible, but the $10-15 I would save did not add up to the time required to research and test.

No one said keeping a cham is cheap! (except some big box store sales person trying to make a sale maybe ;))

EDIT: If for some reason you go to buy this, I would not recommend LLLReptile, They claimed to have it in stock so I bought one and they took my money. I got an email the next day saying it was not in stock and it would be 2 weeks, plus the regular 5-5 days shipping! They refused to expedite my order once it arrived at their facility so I canceled the order and bought it from Josh's Frogs. Got it in about 3 days. Not good customer service or sales practice if you ask me.

An automatic mister is absolutely necessary for the health of your chameleon especially if you have water loving montane species
