Mist system overspray

What do you guys do to combat overspray? I picked up my MistKing system from the Pomona Reptile Super Show at the beginning of the month and LOVE IT! Only problem is I need to figure out a way to keep the overspray from ruining my dresser.

thanks for any suggestions.

I used electrical tape and clear builders plastic. My cage is in the corner so I neatly taped the plastic to the metal frame to make two of the sides virtually waterproof, it also helps keep the humidity up a bit as well.

You may just need to reposition your mist nozzle in such a way that it doesn't spray out of the cage.

Also... They now sell these at LLL Reptile.

I built my own at much lower cost and it works perfectly for catching drips but does nothing to help overspray. Thanks tho.

What kind of plastic?Acrylic or Plexiglass

Try a trash bag liner or shower curtain.
I personally use hand or bath towels to cover the sides of the cages as it doesn't alow the water to drip to the bottom and adds even more humidity to the cage as it drys.

I just set up a new system with my cages a couple weeks ago. I built the mist/drip system for about $60 with materials from Lowes. I originally had catch trays but I had the overspray problem as well. I built the PVC pipe rack and all of my lighting sits on top now as opposed to my cages (makes cleaning cages much easier), the mist system tubing is also attached to the pipe. I went to a local plastic distributor and bought a 4'x8' sheet of corrugated plastic like the kind you see on the roadsides used for campaign signs. I cut it down, bent it into a V-shape and drilled several 5/8" holes in the lowest point of the V. I then put a drainage gutter underneath it at a slight angle and positioned a 5-gallon bucket to catch the water. It's all on a timer and it works great. It pretty much eliminated the overspray problem, you just gotta fine tune your mist heads to point in the proper direction. I know this would be an overkill for 1 cage on a dresser, but I'm sure you could simplify it.
