Misting Duration

I will be receiving my 5 Month old Panther Chameleon tomorrow. I have the cage all set and ready to go. I was wondering what is the duration and how many times a day to mist the Cage.....Purchased an automatic Mister and the settings for times a day and duration are needed..

I have a 17x17x36 in Strand Screen Cage ...

I assume it might be trial and error but wanted to get a baseline to start with from users here.

It really depends on your location. Some parts of the country are bit more dryer than others. I live on the east coast and mist 3-4 times a day for about 1 minute. After each misting session, I run the dripper for another hour or so to ensure he has plenty of water when he wants it. My misting schedule is 8AM, 11AM, 2PM, 5PM. I started running a humidifier, so I may cut back on a misting a bit. Hope this gives you a general idea on setting your schedule.

Yea I mist 3 times a day max 4 depending on weather. I'm also on east coast and if I don't spray often my humidity drops to 30. I do it for a minute or two enough to get leves and branches wet and the plastic I have on two sides. I run a dripper all the time during the day but doesn't add much. Just enough for mine to go somewhere to drink if he is thirsty.

Mine goes off five times a day for four minutes each session.

You have to play with it. I ran mine every other hour for 40 seconds or so while their lights are on and it works great.
