Misting/humidifier question

I have a question I can't seem to get answered online, I have a ultra sonic cool must humidifier to keep my humidity up, I mist every morning to try and get my veiled to drink. For one, I almost never see my Cham drink water, even if I mist for over 40 seconds with a spray bottle.
Second, do I have to keep mysting even if the humidity is at 70-80% ? I have a big dripper dripping while I'm at work. I can only assume the cam is drinking at some point since he doesn't seem to be dehydrated. Urates do have some orange hue sometimes but it doesn't seem to be chronic.. Any inputs? Tips?

I see my cham drink at least twice a week, and I'm sure he's drinking more when I'm not looking! Its strange for me to think that you've never seen yours! I'm no pro, but I'll give you what I do, and maybe that'll help?

Dripper is set for 1 drop a second, and travels through 3 plants before hitting the bottom. This (though the recommended is a few hours most places I've read) I have on all day, and turn it off at night. I find that since I have my plants essentially stacked, and they are tropical plants, there is very little spare water building up by the end of the day.

I hand spray 3x daily for ~2mins (yes, its a lot of effort, but an automated one is next on the buy list...). But the nice thing about hand spraying is I can focus on branches that are close to his perches, without spraying him directly. If I spray him directly, he runs away and hides, but if I spray the perch a few inches over, he'll move there and start drinking directly from the droplets that collect on the screen. I know everywhere it says that they will drink from the plants, and it's true, I've seen my guy do this, but I've most often seen him drink directly from the screen, because he's looking my way anyways, maybe it's more noticable? I don't know. Again, not a pro. Unless I miss a spray session, I don't have any orange urates.

I think if your humidity is high enough, not misting is fine, HOWEVER, you need to watch the urates carefully over the next few days if you start to limit it! And of course, always have the drip system. But personally, I dont think you need a drip and a mist system going at the same time unless your humidity is too low... But that's just my opinion!

Hope that helped a bit! :) Good luck!

Unless you are certain he's using the dripper, you will need to keep misting. Many chams don't drink in front of us unless they are really desperate. The problem is, if he isn't using the dripper and you don't mist, he won't be getting enough drinking water from the humidifier alone. I think I'd do a test...try misting, dripping alone and watch the cage humidity levels for a while. If the cage gets too dry too often, you can set the humidifier on a timer to cycle once or twice between misting sessions (when you aren't home to spray) if needed.

I just use mister and got rid of dripper. Mist 3 times a day, he seems to go to mister nozzle for drip. Just check his urine sack for good white coloure

Recently i bought Honeywell HWM-340B Easy-to-Care Warm Mist Humidifier in my badroom , so i don't need
additional humidifiying, this device so easy in explotion and work pleasantly, thank for reviewsite http://best-humidifier.com/best-warm-mist-humidifier-reviews/ thatadvice thatto me. So i have such question, i would install such humidifiers in whole my rooms, but thus wuold not comfortable to care all this household, may i look for easly in care humidifier to whole my house?

You may have a problem with mold or mildew if you try to keep the entire room's humidity level high enough for your cham. How humid is your room without using a humidifier now?
