Misting times

Jacksons I know need more humid conditions than other species and I'm just curious on what you guys set your mistking timers on throughout the day for your jacksons.

I dont use a mister for my jax because I found that a rain system works much better.
It uses more water, need good drainage, but it goes off 3 times a day.
First is 5 minutes, next is 6 minutes, last is 5.

For mine I also use a rain type set up. I mist 4 times a day; the first for 4 minutes, 2nd for 6 minutes, 3rd for 6 minutes and 4th for 5 minutes. My Jackson doesn't have any hydration ussues, it's one of the panthers that never wants to drink.

So far, I've havent even seen my panther drink.
His urates look okay, maybe slightly pinkish sometimes.

My panthers in general seldom saw any actually drink.

Same with my veileds, I never see them drink.

Okay I have mine right now set on for 2 mins every 2 hours starting at 8am ending at 5pm and this seems to work pretty well. I might get a rain dome but with the mist my plants drip like rain I have a big umbrella and a pothos they both hold water pretty well even after it's done misting for him to drink. Is 2 mins long enough or should I go for a longer duration?

For a jacksons, yes, you need at least 5 minutes. But just turn it on, and watch to see how long it takes for him to actually drink after he sees the water.
They tend to be really slow, after all, why hurry? In the wild when it rains, it lasts a lot longer then 5 minutes ;)

I have an 8-10 month old jackson.

I have my humidifier turn on for half an hour, then off for an hour. this repeats all day. 1 hour after lights turn on.

last time humidifier turns off is 1 hr before lights out. then no more humidifier until next morning.

my Jackson loves drinking fom his drip tube though. and i have caught him drinking from drops on bamboo sticks as well as leaves.
