so i get that this thing will activate the mist system if humidity drops below a point, which is really cool, but can you set it to turn on at times you want it? I might be screwed if not -.-

What is this magic you speak of?

Can you post a link? I just got my Mistking yesterday, and I've only read the book once.

Ruh Roh......I made the exact same mistake. You can turn it on and off yourself, but you cannot schedule it like the other timers. I think its more for horticultural applications. I had to swap it out for the seconds timer.

My kit came with the second timer, but if I swapped for the HT-24, I can see where the system wouldn't mist, thus no water for drinking.

Interesting idea though.

So chain them Timer first, then the Hygrostat. Timers says GO, which provides power to the Hygro, when will either turn the pump on or not. Interesting idea.

I think one fall back of using this are when the ambient humidity is high enough for long period of time. The Cham may end up with nothing to drink.

Yeah exactly, my room tends to stay at 50% humidity at least with all of the plants as it is. I had to order the seconds timer. Was just think if i could have both running the hygrostat would be nice for keeping humidity in place, but we need timed misting as well for hydration.
