Mistking vs monsoon

Well as you can probably see, my question to you is how does the mistking differ from the monsoon? Is it worth the extra money? How easy is it to setup? If the mistkking is better, how so?

If you type your thread title in the search box you will get quite a few results...
From what I have read / heard, the Mistking is well worth the extra money.

Yep, Mistking has a finer mist and will last longer. I have used both, and highly recommend the Mistking.

MistKing will last a lot longer and has a finer mist. Monsoon is a rainfall system with bigger droplets. Mistking also has a better auto timer. I have a mistking and i love it but i also got a monsoon splitter attachment because i now have 2 chams so if you want more of a rainfall then you can do that. Overall mistking is better by far.

If you search YouTube there is a video posted on this. Monsoon vs Mistking . Watching that is why I went with Mistking and glad I did. Mist kings motor doesn't burn out if it runs dry . Per their words and my one time experience. Well worth the extra money.

I love my Mistking and highly recommend it. It is really easy to set up because you just shove tubes into a connector. Stay with the ST-24 timer for pets.

The monsoon will only last a few months even with distilled water I just spent the extra n ordered the MistKing seems to have the better options 4 chameleons or whatever u have or doing greenhouse etc I will post when it arrives and all setup.the limited duration of mist and and the reliability r monsoons biggest downfall. Ryan at MistKing was awesome as I was a pain in the a$$ customer but he took the time n made sure I was getting what I needed and not no extras I didn't need at the end I think it was 75 bucks more then the monsoon going to b well worth it I believe for Freddie n myself good luck hope this helped

Wambo why u say stick with the st-24 as I got the upgrade to the ht-24 hygrostat?
The ST-24 allows up to ten events, each occurring at any time along with different misting durations. The RCT is a repeat cycle time, allowing only a night and day setting, so it's two repeated events. The day and night start times are limited as well. So you can have a single event of the same duration repeat throughout the day [with the same duration and timing interval], but to turn it off at night, you must set the night to zero events, or manually turn it off. Most people [all that posted recently, actually] here seem to have a few events of different durations at specific times, which cannot be done with the RCT-24. I have no experience with the HT-24, but the limit of 10 events with the ST-24 seems more than enough for most here, and is the least expensive.

Thanks 4 the info I hope I didn't make the wrong choice with the ht-24 Ryan insured me that for a chameleon it was the bet choice as it will hold the lvl of the humitity on its own and program the three 4 to 5 min mists per day

I just read about it at the Mistking site. That's a nice feature to control humidity if needed. It does sound to have similar scheduling as the RCT-24. We can make it work, but I think I would prefer to manage the misting schedule at different specified times and durations because I have one panther and my setup situation. I don't want to mist first thing in the morning, or at night at all, so I start the day later so it doesn't wash off the calcium dusting on my feeders before my cham eats them. So it does work well enough, but I may prefer to schedule mistings erratically at no particular repeating time, along with different duration of misting each time.
The Day/Night start time are limited [Day = 2 am to 10 AM an Night 4 PM to 10 PM] and the time to repeat is limit to 13 hours. So if I wanted to start mistings at 10 AM, but use a different duration later, I would need to set a Night start and duration. Night could start no sooner than 4PM, but I could not stop a second night event and the latest that a second event would then begin is 13 hours later at 5 AM, unless I shut it off every night manually. I could not start the Day early because misting begins at the Day start time.
I just scanned the manual and will send it to you via PM if it lets me.

The PDF was too large to PM, but I can email it to you if you PM me your address.

Received thank you again I'm going to call tomorrow and ask a few more questions which is sad cause I asked a lot before purchasing lol as I called my self a pain in the a$$ customer cause of all the questions I asked and I couldn't find the manual for the ht-24 like the rct-24 u sent me maybe cause it new
